![]() ![]() Take a look at valueAtTime()įor me the camera rotation change is much important too, and maybe the camera point of view is one too.įor example a little more complex camera animation + an echo effect on the object that scanned by the cam could give very nice blur effect, that can be dreamy or just energetic. ![]() ![]() More motion means your variable is larger in value, which can drive “more” effect. If your variable has a value greater or less than zero, that tells you the relative amount of motion it’s currently experiencing, which you could apply to your effect. Then, if your (value at time now – value at time one frame ago) variable is zero, it’s not in motion, and you can apply zero to your effect–effectively having it “off”. To do this, you’ll need to take the difference between the current position and the position one frame ago. So, instead of simply looking at the basic parameter value (which gives you no sense of movement), you’ll need to create a variable that is describing the amount of motion. You’re describing the effect happening when the triggering parameter is in MOTION, rather than simply Position or Rotation. So, you’d probably need to have you effect in place with the amount set to zero. I don’t think that you can turn on or off an effect via expressions, unless it has an enable/disable boolean you could hook into. But fortunately I have to play the opacity only three or four objects. Maybe the opacity changing could be linked the objects distance from the Null that I use for POV for my camera. Otherise I am in the middle of a 3D cam project and because I have one huge and tricky motion path, the opacity control by z axis does not work out. Sorry for me if it is fundamentally different thing as your expressions logic. (for example: when the word rotates then some per character rotation happen in the whole word, by linked the per character rotate wiggle expression to the a given amount when any z rotation happens with text main transformation. The most most dreamed ideal case it could be used at text animators properties When I found your post i tought the two ideas are close.įollowed by my question the goal is to get additional effects to the objects during their movement. I tought its possible to not to refer to a given amount of property but refer like: lets ramp up the Roughen Edges effect Border property to amount of 8,80 when the objects position is increasing or decreasing (like the property amount is bigger or smaller related to the frame before ), and then return the effects changing property to 0 when motion comes to end. I am trying to span an effect by the object (or camera) position (or rotation) changing.īetter example if I would like to try to turn on Roughen Edges effect on leyer when any changing would happen in z or whatever dimension. And I am not thinking only in the camera property, try to achieve to “turning on effect” by any dimensions property changing (moving, rotating, maybe offestting). Using the blur as example was misleading I guess. ![]()
